Thought Tyrer was signed up prior to last seasons training camp but could be wrong....

He did come in before training camp but if he is progressing up the ranks it seems sensible for them to take a look at him.

Plenty of time sign him or any other ?first choice? if that is what Pc is planning

With Everton being on the naughty step, they may look at having Harry Tyrer as a stand-in for their second choice keeper. They may have to sell off several players from the first team squad, and before anyone says he's not premiership quality or even good enough for the championship, they may have little option in that regard. For me, he's a definitely good enough for our level, but he may find himself pressed into their cup games at the very least.
Dyche could always do a swap with Quigley going to Everton 😂😂😂.

They've got numerous keepers, even selling Pickford would leave them with his number 2 from last season and a couple of others that they didnt loan out probably ahead of Tyrer in the pecking order. They arent that short on funds either...they spent ?15m on a former blunts striker from Marseille yesterday!

It seems obvious that Everton will want to have a look at Tyrer over pre season, not sure what the panic is about if he isn?t back we?ll sign someone else

For me, it about having two decent keepers on the books.
I'd be much more happier if the 2nd keeper was in and gelling with the squad, not turning up the night before on loan (over exaggerating obvs) wanting a game

I suppose there may be a good chance of Tyrer returning because if the deal was dead in the water I think Cook may have already signed a n other

While ever Pickford is in Germany (and then on holiday when he isn't any more) I'd imagine Tyrer will be needed for first team training f they are back from their summer break?

Already got one on trial apparently

The head of recruitments lad came on the Spain trip with us, presumably so we had 2 keepers so were able to play XI v XI in training, but I've not seen anything to suggest he was officially 'on trial' as such.

Cookie will either be hopeful of getting Tyrer back once he;s available or have a quality 'keeper lined up from elsewhere, no way would he have got this far with only one 'keeper on the books and don't nothing about it.

Goalkeeper wise, I?m sure Cook will have this covered with a number of options. Certainly, we took 2 keepers to Spain but whether or not one was there just to make the numbers up or indeed on trial remains to be seen. However, I?ve confidence in Boot and wouldn?t be too concerned if we start the season with him in the starting eleven.

However, I have not heard anything about a potential RB and that is a position that concerns me more as, unless we bring in an U21 player, it will not be cost effective to sign an older player without moving a current member of the squad out.

We have until September to finalise our squad so it is early to start fretting. I might start getting a bit fidgety the week before the first league fixture if there is no in/out by then

I think he'll probably look toward an u21 loanee at RB given we seem to have done most of our business early doors.

Yes, or an under 21 year old who's been released by someone. Like you've already said, we seem to have done our business early once again, but we need some young talented players we can bring on.

Not a rumour but I've just read that Matt Penney is a free agent.

Local lad and cracking player.

Is this last summers news, as I can?t see he had a club in 23/24.
Or was he with an overseas club?
