We'll get battered by the first decent team we come up against.

According to the tv pundits commenting on Slovenia v Portugal, Slovenia are a very 'decent team'. I didn't notice England being battered by them, so wrong again (as usual).

If we win a first tournament in 58 years you?d sack the manager?

That illustrates very clearly how utterly illogical some England 'supporters ' are. I even heard the same comment from Gabby Agbonlahor on Talk Sport, absolutely unbelievable.

The free kick he tried for at the end of the first half would have defied Johnny Wilkinson at his prime.

Anyone else with the horrendously poor free kick record Ronaldo has wouldnt be allowed anywhere near taking them!! Saw something yesterday that i think said he's scored 1 in the last 60 or 70 attempts at major championships, suspect his general record is much the same.

Quote from the press
He has now attempted 20 shots at Euro 2024 and still hasn't scored (the shootout doesn't count, of course). Only four players have taken more shots without scoring at a single European Championship since 1980.

In a town context he?s the equivalent of old Johnny no goals.

Arguably towns most successful manager ever - but many wanted and chanted Duncan Out? due to the dull nature of the football on display if you remember

Absoloute beasts, Slovenia. Ranked 57th in the world, just one place behind the mighty Saudi Arabia. They strike fear into the hearts of all.

Incidentally, didn't those same TV pundits all say Southgates tactics are awful/non existent and that he's picked the wrong players... all of which you disagreed with if this thread is anything to go by!

We have at least 3 players in the squad who scored 20 plus goals last season yet so far have managed only 4 goals in 4 games.

Compare that with PC?s philosophy of filling the front 4 with players who can get goals. Yes I know it?s a totally different level of football but you play according to your strengths, it strikes me that Southgate doesn?t

Didn?t miss a game for about 10 years - what?s your point?

I can?t remember ever hearing a Duncan out chant though.

Wouldn?t surprise me I guess - a few on here gave Cookie a hard time a season ago
