Held my nose and voted Labour. I wonder if Boza will be quite tight as a lot of people rate Fletcher as a decent constituency MP.

Given the constituency predictor on the Telegraph website shows labour with 47% and the Tories with about 25%, if Labour dont win then the overall result might be much different to the predictions.... Showing 20% for reform though.. so I guess if most of them decide after all that they dont want to waste their vote it could be tight....?

I've got my bottle of champagne ready for a Lib Dem victory.... its getting quite old now though!

I think bolsover will be a very tight three way race with Labour edging it due to the Reform/Tory vote split, and I wouldn?t be too shocked if the Tories finished third. I certainly expect the combined Tory /Reform support will be higher than Labours.

Yeah, tactical voting should have been the play

In that case, well done to #Farrers for helping Labour potentially win in Boza #CantBarrageTheFarrage

No, proportional representation should be the play, so that everyone can vote for who they want and their vote counts. Might mean we get some weird coalitions - and people like Farage get their day in the spotlight - but the current system really is ridiculous. Suggestion is that Lib Dems could get less vote share than Reform but 20 times the number of seats...

Talking to one or two people this morning, I?d speculate that Reform will push Labour very very close in Bolsover, that?s my reassessment.

My polling card (or whatever it is you get these days) went in the bin, unopened, last week. The only way to sum up my feelings of the options on offer.

Shows what a farce is is with Labour forecast to get a landslide with 37,5% of the vote

Down on Corbyn who polled 40% in 2017

A bit like the Dunny on the Wold by election with its rotten borough

Couldn?t agree more. Which is precisely why I don?t complain, as I learned a long time ago that complaining about politicians is as futile as voting for them.

When was the last time someone in power did anything for anyone in middle England?

I'll complain as I've not voted for several years, since I concluded that 70ish% of candidates with any chance of election main priority was their own self interest.
Since I drew that conclusion, things have got worse and this country has become a sh..show. So I will complain that no one party comes close to inspiring me to vote and by not voting and saving flicking a coin to decide, I save myself the embarrassment if I had voted for the winner of not having to beat myself up when a bigger sh..show materialise in 2 years time.

NE Derbyshire too I think. Rowley has done ok and in isolation is probably someone you could vote for, just a shame about the party he represents. Reform will ok, split the Tory vote and Labour will win at a canter though I expect.

Not sure why someone gave you a red for that, and sure you dont care... but my guess is that you said a Tory MP was doing OK, because as we all know only Labour MPs do OK....???

I was thinking this earlier. Our system is flawed in many ways. What's better - an MP who does a good job for your local area and works hard on local matters for the people or the government you want? They don't necessarily align. Could I vote for a Conservative MP in that scenario? I probably could.
