Here's one from way back that I'm sure Warfey will remember well. Distant bums sung to the tune of Jim Reeves distant drums. ;)
Until I'm 6 feet under baby I don't need a bed
Gonna live while I'm alive I'll sleep when I'm dead

Oh Stevie and I thought you were my new bezzy mate :o . I will be discussing this with you tomorrow lol.

Brill. We can have a 'heated debate' a la Mrs Merton and, if that doesn't resolve it, a fight a la Harry Hill 🤣

Radford, I and my stand-in football buddy (petite, blonde and beautiful) will be loitering somewhere outside the South Stand after the game. He will be there first; a
s 'women of an age', we'll likely have to go where women need to go first 😳😆

Laters 😘😘

Ok, I’ll not be getting a call from Stock, Aitken or Waterman but it’s gotta be better than putting on a show.

Sure do remember some great songs during the 60s and 70s, keep em coming.

A few more have come to mind from way back that I think you will remember well OA. How about,

Arsenal have Radford and Palace have Queen,
West Ham have Geoff Hurst and Tottenham Gilzean,
We Spireites have Randall and he is the King,
We also have Wilson and he's on the wing.

David, David Wilson,
David Wilson on the wing,
David, David Wilson,
David Wilson on the wing.

OR,

Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly,
Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury,
Shanks said no,
I don't think so,
But I've heard of Chesterfield FC.

OR,
The Spireite boot boys song which went,

With a bow legged chicken and a knock knee'd hen,
I haven't had a ........
I'll stop right there as I'm sure you will remember the rest of it lol

Does anyone remember the Christian Daley song sung by West Ham at Saltergate to the tune of the Andy Williams hit you're just too good to be true when we knocked them out of the Carling cup in 2006?

One of my favourite football songs ever
Matched by the current Jarrod Bowen ditty
THEY FLY SO HIGH , NEARLY REACH THE SKY , AND LIKE MY DREAMS THEY FADE AND DIE

Yes I thought it was great that night at Saltergate when the hammers fans were singing it. It really amused me.

I bet he did. I'd also wager that a fair few of the fans wives wouldn't have minded either. He was a good looking lad wasn't he?

agree about the come on you blues, miss that one, always used to be Twice (only ever twice, never 3times) at corners.

football songs and chants seem to pass from club to club but in all the years i've never heard anyone else with the "are you ready?" Q & A chant... anyone know who started that one?

another we debate in our family is this one, "and it's chesterfield... chesterfield fc etc.)" how many claps is it?

The are you ready one used to be started by a fella called Joey, who wore a beret. If anyone else tried to start it, they were shouted down by others claiming ‘Joey’s song, Joey’s song

It's great you brought that one up spireitenag as I'd forgotten that one. The kop really used to belt it out.
I think the guy that used to stand at the front of the kop with the inflatable spire had SPIRE POWER written on it if I'm not mistaken.
