Anyway, I think we've missed the boat on the Freckleton front, but I believe Paul Cook will have others to look at from now until the transfer window shuts.

Miguel rumoured to go back to Bristol Rovers.Perhaps linked, in some way, to Lewis having joined us?

Mentioned already on the rumours thread. Seems to have stemmed from some random Bradford fan moaning that they've not got him as he's signed for us. Think its spread round town fans on Twitter from there but no mention of him signing for us from anywhere else at all.
The original tweet is here - https://x.com/bcafc_...827169180139917 - some bloke with 93 followers who appears to not like their chief exec!!

Not calling Quigley as he certainly played his part last season, but realistically would there be many takers?

I can't imagine that he would have any issue finding clubs in the National League with an interest in him

Apart from Rotherham, Birmingham, Wrexham, Bolton and Stockport I?d think you?d be daft not to sign on here.

True enough, but maybe the flipside is that those presently under contract but deemed potentially surplus to requirements may prove difficult to move on. I'm hoping we stop wasting money subsidising any player's next move...

Doing some light research, it?s estimated Cooper is on circa ?25k per week at Leeds. Even if he?s being offered reduced terms, the average championship player earns between ?7-?10k per week (with some exceptions, eg, Leicester this season) so I personally don?t think we?re even in the running.

And we shouldn't be either.
I'm sure if we are in the market for a CB, we can pick one up cheaper who can do the standard required.
I'm assuming that Grimes and Dunkley are starters (as long as one is left and the other right) so apart from a big wage, Cooper my find himself benched.
We have Williams and Palmer atm on the books along with Naylor who can fill in.
Nutshell, I think Cooper would be a bad move. If one of Williams and Palmer leave, then replace

You think we'd start Grimes over Cooper if he was here??
It's completely hypothetical as we'd not be able to afford him but you need to give your head a wobble
