First Matlock game I’ve missed in god knows how long because of work. Gutted. Looking forward to seeing the new lads next week though. Have a pint or three for me those there.

Sorry to hear it buddy, I'm listening in on-line today. Usually it's an annual day out, with fish and chips before grabbing a seat to watch a decent game of preseason football but I'm not match fit for this one.

There isn't even a concourse under the stands behind the goals, just open space!

Plenty of open spaces in Scabfield, and you'll find most of it between subhuman ears.

In comparison to Jeff King who must have the worst. My sympathies Jeff

I hope Jeff has a better season this time around, as things just haven't gone right for him recently.

All this just confirms how lucky we are to have the Kirk’s in charge here. Genuine football folk who have our best interests at heart and are willing to put more than a reasonable amount of money in for our level . Coupled with a fanbase who are optimistic but realistic, and don’t have this “entitled” chip on their shoulder like the wendies, we are in the best position possible. I’ve said before I hope they go bust, still hope they do but that’s based on experience of their delusional fanbase …I’d settle for a slow death, 20 points reduction and 3 relegations… then let’s hear em on radio deedah

I'd like to see them drop a few divisions but not go out of business. Like others on here, I've worked with several of the Hillsborough faithful, and yes, they do think themselves as special, and above us and even United. Delusional yes, but would I want them to miss out on playing in the National league, no chance. My Blade loving brother is all for seeing them drop through the EFL trapdoor into the National League, although they've had their own share of dodgy people on the board too.

Welcome to the club, does this mean we do the Maori Haka before kick off 🤔.
