I was disappointed in my selections today apart from Aztec Empire who was desperately unlucky, he was travelling better than the entire field then he got boxed in on that inside rail, Oisen Murphy eventually managed to make his way around them and then still nearly caught the winner but if you put that 1 in your tracker it’ll win a class 2 handicap at some point probably even on his next run.
Better luck tomorrow.

Gregory is my selection for the st Leger, today was a disaster but it stayed on at the end after setting ridiculous fractions ,glad it did not win today
Yeh Gregory does look like a nice bet for the Ledger over the 14 furlong distance.
That’s why he didn’t perform today because he won at 14 furlong lto and he dropped back in distance to 12 furlong and you can’t win the Voltigeur Stakes by doing that, I think the Gosdens were just using York as prep for the St Ledger.

Fancy the Richard Fahey horse in first ridden by hanaghan in his last ride dver...save the last dance drifting like a barge, can't fancy her on fast ground
I know it’s drifted 9/2 now, I was hoping for rain, I can’t even predict the weather this week, my brains broken, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stay Alert wins the Yorkshire Oaks now, that’s shortened as soon as I announced I won’t be backing it but it’ll run well. In the 2 races I’ve bet on tomorrow I’ve got a Haggas horse and an AOB horse and I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve got them in the wrong order as they’ve got 1 each in both races.
But I might have 1 for Saturday, I’ve got Royal Champion shortlisted in the Stenstall Stakes at 1.50 and the same horse is also shortlisted in the Winter Hill Stakes later in the evening at Windsor so look out for that 1.

I wanted to take on the favourite Kinross as lto winners don’t fare well in this so I’ve backed 3 year old Issac Shelby nicely drawn in stall 3 to turn Dettioris aging mount Kinross over.
Kinross won this race last year and despite being a short priced favourite previous winners of this race don’t fare well so he may be worth laying for any layers out there.
My selection hasn’t finished outside the top 2 in 7 furlong races apart from last years Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes which was far too hot for the colt and I’m expecting a really big run tomorrow and he’s still available at 13/2 which still represents good value as the Night of Thunder progeny goes on g/f and g/s ground.
I’ve still got shortlists for the other races but I’m gonna have a closer look at those in the morning to double check that conditions are suitable.
