What about the decision to keep him on all game whilst he was having a stinker?

Bellingham played well in the first half of the Serbia game. Since then he's been up there with our worst players. Done nothing but give the ball away, wave his hands around in the air and moan at his team mates. It's astonishing he has played so many minutes. He's clearly a wonderfully talented boy but whether it is fitness or attitude, he is miles off it.

From what I've seen the defence don't look great, real shakey - shinning light being Gu?hi. If we were to try and soak pressure up without attacking on the break (or just plain attacking like we should be capable of), then without a shadow of a doubt we will get tanked.

Guehi and Stones have been fine. The worry is, the both have a mistake in them. Evidenced by Guehi getting booked last night. We need to remember they haven't come up against a decent forward yet.

We have (on paper) enough to click into another gear.
If memory serves me right, in tournaments we've started poorly and then turned it on in the later stages - I'll probably be corrected!
I'm hoping now we've 'played it safe' and bored us to near death that Southgate takes the handbrake off and we start playing the football we want to see and that the players are more than capable of doing.

I think the reality will be that the handbrake will be pulled up a few more clicks (If that is possible) the first time we play anyone remotely decent.

Err- they didn't, England finished in FIRST PLACE.

We have topped a poor group but haven't shown anything to suggest we can go on and win the tournament unfortunately.

Saka and Walker on the right has really been the only shining light in all three games. You can't judge the subs last night on the fleeting showing, but they seemed to make a difference.
We've won the group stages but Southgate would have egg on his face if Denmark had scored in the last minute dropping us to second place.

Saka has been woeful in the last 2 matches.
