Perhaps. The worry is, they?re really not very good and we?re really struggling. It feels very much like the opening game v Tunisia in 2018.

This is where I am at sadly. An underachieving side with a manager with ultra negative tactics.

Portugal won a euro and hardly won a game.
The winners grind out results, and grow into a tournament.. we've a young talented but inexperienced squad.
Keep the faith.. we've got the win..
Just play with more width on the left please 🤣

Southgate does nothing to change it tactically
As with Croatia and Italy.
Ok we won and that?s a plus and we?re in pole position in the group but Southgate?s limitations are still the same ones and are still there

We always struggle first game difference is we won so onwards and upwards
Positives
Bellingham looked class for good periods
No goals conceded by a new centre half partnership
Declan rice superb and best holding midfielder in the world for me , certainly be in every fans top 5
Negatives
Trent not convincing
Trippier isn?t a left back , what?s point going beyond fodden with no left foot
Kane ( think he is a great player) but looked leaden legged tonight
Foden had a honkin game

Agree, would add Guehi having a really good individually game too.

Can?t argue with any of that. I thought Pickford played well as well.
I think Trent is worth another start in there and I would persist with Foden but he?s got to do better.
