neither of which were matchwinner, see the link, they only made 3 home shirts (but all were crackers to be fair) and the same number of away shirts, which were arguably some of the most popular in recent times (the yellow Coalite, the yellow with black spire motif and the green/white striped)

Haha. I didn't suggest they were just that I had them. I'm too young to remember the Match winner shirts tbh. Thale first one I kind of remember is probably the Kennings one.

Hopefully if the retro shirts are successful and if it results in a drop in sales of the new puma shirts the club may decide to collab with matchwinner or someone else for the seasons shirts once this new deal with puma runs out

Profit margin will decide

These must be imminent now, the original PR on the club website stated 2 weeks which was last week.

Keen to see the quality and pricing of them, although given todays push on this seasons shirt sales, I wonder if they have residual stock they want to shift first?

The total number of sales is the only way you’ll be able to compare and the retail price will no doubt generate a similar profit if the negotiated deal is done properly - eh Mr Carson.

Nothing released as such, but they’re as theough they’ll be exact replicas of the Matchwinner shirts of the early 90s.

They’ve tweeted this which appears to have a few of the shirts in the background of the picture.

Dave will be able to confirm, but I'd imagine they're the 'real' ones he's borrowed to copy?

presumably they're being made overseas?

Hi all. Those shirts in the background are mine (they have an office with lots of originals in). On the ground floor they have huge printers and a team of people sewing together the fabrics etc so a lot of the operation is on site in Dewsbury. Website goes live on Friday with first CFC products on there to pre order. Really lovely team of people and they have lots of ideas and plans.

Cheers for the info Dave.

I’d imagine the shirts won’t be cheap if they’re UK made?!

Presumably, £40-£50 same as current replica shirts.

I think around the £40 mark is what they are thinking about. They are aware that they want to be affordable but at the same time some will sell smaller quantities than others so a bit of a balancing act.

Any word on what designs have been chosen to be re-made? Or is that top secret until Friday?

Ahead of todays launch, the club have tweeted the launch of a 'Union Jack' polo shirt with the club badge stuck on for £45

They released is it with a bit of trivia suggesting it was the clubs away shirt in 1892/93 season.....

Tweet was deleted after over 200 quote tweets absolutely hammering us. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs their head looking at. Why do we always have to make stupid blunders that make us look so unprofessional.

See it's been deleted now.

Hollywood FC can be insufferable but the way they market and create value is something we should be at least trying.

Always going to be a ceiling in what we can do on the pitch without increasing the revenue number off it...

Our marketing communication at times is a bit like Peak FM when the adverts randomly played over the songs.

The polo shirt looked horrendous.

What were the club being hammered for?
The design or price?
What’s the issue?

I imagine it’s the association some make that the Union flag equals racist.
"Can't change or choose your football club. Sorry son"
