    I?ve a feeling Jones will be used sparingly this season but might occupy a seat on the bench with a view to bringing him on as and when we need to close games out.

    No rumours lately but on the latest set of photos on YouTube of the training today there are one or two faces I do not immediately recognise like a tall, slim, coloured lad and near the end another coloured lad wearing No15.

    Yes, he?s not a LB, but is that the real problem.

    I am seeing pass after pass, sideways and backwards, without getting out of our own half. We have pace in the side but no passes to run on to. Acres of space is being given to our left side but absolutely nothing happening from the forward players like Foden out there. No urgency and no tempo.

    The Matlock game will be more interesting and you will be able to watch any highlights, if any, of the England match afterwards

    Thanks for talking about the team and the football. It seems to be the last thing most of them are interested in, but 'twas ever thus.
    Look forward to some more interesting discussions it the mods get a bit more selective about relevance in threads.
