And events like this certainly mean the older generation remember. My Mum (nearly 90) had been watching yesterday so we were talking last night about my uncle (her older brother) who served and was captured, my uncle by marriage (to my Mum's oldest sister) who fought for the polish freedom fighters before escaping and then fighting elsewhere with the french.... My dad was one of the lucky ones, sent down the pit 90 miles from home aged 18 rather than being conscripted otherwise he may have been one of the ones who didnt make it.

We owe them everything.

isnt that his military outfit as his country are at war? And probably designed to make a statement, getting his best dress uniform ready wasnt top of his list of priorities, quite rightly...

you wear a suit at a funeral out of respect for the deceased / their family - or a football shirt or bright colours if asked.

I imagine the veterans would have been happy that the man fighting a war in Europe - and did you listen to what they all had to say about avoiding war at all costs - had managed to find time to recognise them but was also using it as a time to remind everyone else there and watching that he was still fighting a war. Its called symbolism and I havent noticed anyone offended by it - apart from you, and that may be because you dont like him!

They certainly do, our owner gets to utilise it when over. I dont think he mentioned seeing Zelensky in there. They do deliver as well... and of course his wife may shop without him, some prefer it!
