He has been breathtakingly naive so far, signing players randomly, trying to impose a high risk defensive system with players not suited, dropping key players and playing out of position. He has taken over a club 5th from bottom, made a raft of poor signings and started experiments that have failed dramatically. Was that mature and sensible? He caused us to fall like a stone and that's hard to forgive. His reported fall outs with players don't tell me he is his own man. They suggest he has poor man management skills and his inexperience may be a factor here if he hasn't got the confidence to listen to opinions. His personality is flat.

It will be a travesty if Dion doesn't win. He come on leaps and bounds and he's retained his place.

Caldwell doesn't expect the club to be sold soon, perhaps within the next 2/3 years even, as the asking price is unrealistic.
Caldwell expects Evans to be at the club next season. Evans is committed to CFC.
Caldwell didn't play Jones, Sadiq etc in reserves as at this stage he didn't think fitness was important but wanted themsquad to be kept together for training/bonding.
Caldwell non committal on who the head of recruitment will be.
He has met Liam Graham and knows who he is. Says it's important for him to get fit.

So, the club accept an offer for Evans, Wigan test the water, Caldwell resigns over losing his main striker and he returns to the DW?

I'm in dream land.
God I hate this league.

I didn’t realise that CFC had recruited a New Head of Recruitment & Development that was in need of a white stick or at least a guide dog as he appears to have “Bumped” into that many people according to his interview in the Derbyshire Times that I cannot understand what we hope he can bring to the table.

I fear that may well be enough, given the rumoured ST uptake!

morning Graham

call me paranoid, but I'm astounded that Joe Rowley has not been offered a long professional contract. A cynic might conclude that Ashley is leaving the door open for bids for him.
