Can’t see Andy Holt letting Accy go pop- last accounts, 2022, he had over £4M in the club.
Just a rallying call at the moment.

Torquay into administration after slipping into NL South - which will leave them only 4 points above a further relegation to the Southern League.

We should be thankful for what we now have....

Not surprised, they really do struggle for gates, with Blackburn and Burnley right on the doorstep. They wouldn't have got this far without their wealthy owner bankrolling them.

It's a shame for any club in difficulty, but when we were in trouble, nobody wanted to know.

Other than kick us down.

Eh? When?
These go to eleven.

The irony... Torquay being one such club that wanted us booted out of the league.

I don't like to see any fans lose their team, well I could make one exception 😁.

Still not with you. Are you talking about when we had nine points deducted for Dodgy Darren’s doings? Can’t recall any clubs trying to get us booted out of the league. We managed that ourselves in the end anyway.

Number of club owners like Torquay, guy from York etc made big pushes to get us kicked out….strangely they were clubs hovering around relegation out of the league at the time.

I tend to think that, whilst all clubs have a few stupid fans, the majority at most if not all clubs wouldnt want to see fans of another club suffer so I'm in that camp, I hope they all survive and continue in existence, but maybe dont flourish too much!

Unfortunately just confirms what everyone knows: football clubs are loss-makers without backers who are prepared to put money in and lose it in the long-term. We’ve been lucky - big fans who’ve made their fortune prepared to plough excess money into the club and buy a squad to get us back to EFL. Hopefully they’ll stay with us and we’ll not become another basket-case.
At the end of the day a fan-based model, otherwise known as a community trust will never save a club in this environment. Sad but true unless anyone can show me light at the end of the tunnel for professional football 😕

One that does thrive, or at least per the last few years filed, is Exeter City. Owned by the supporters, it’s made substantial profits by selling young stars and having an annual prudent budget. No borrowings.

No ‘clubs’ did.
To hate a club for our criminality of 25+ years ago is so childish it’s laughable
But certain people did.

Barry Hearn for one and Kate Howy who was sports minister (and now a right wing poster chick)

Brighton and mark lawrenson both very vocal of there thoughts about chesterfield being cheats, all cheats, fans, staff the lot!
I’ve never liked Brighton since, and I wasn’t too sympathetic of Blackpools struggles after their shenanigans with the brown envelopes at saltergate
In fact I still think the whole Darren brown saga stinks to this day,it really scarred us as a club and I believe it’s why we haven’t had the media attention that most clubs would have got had they been having such a good season like chesterfield have

The National League is a non event in sport media circles.

Yes Paul I remember Blackpool fans and their antics. Therefore I wasn't sympathetic to their troubles.

Sorry yes true- Brown and those who were mates with him.

To say clubs wanted us kicked out is like all of us town people/fans being labelled with Brown.

Unfortunately we were labelled with Brown, the game away at Brighton after the news of what happened was especially nasty.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Remember some angry Brighton fans after the game in the leafy lanes around Wihdean. Usual handbags
