It?s changed a bit since folk were getting giddy over the fact we were on our way out cos we?d lost one and had one rained off and folk wanted buttler and mott out on their ears.

The change didn?t last long did it?
Pathetic batting performance.

Not a great batting performance but a wicket that that heavily favoured India. Everything been for them as they were the only team that knew which semi final they?d be in no matter what happened to suit tv viewing figures!

Very true, but England and Butler missed the golden opportunity, they won the toss, an area India can?t control, can they?, and made the ridiculous decision to bowl first.

Derbyshire currently 45-6
An absolutely bonkers decision to choose to bat with the cloud cover.

Derbyshire 50-9 this cricket team has redefined the word abject.

As a Yorkshire fan I?m obviously delighted with how it is going so far, but I think the Derbyshire captain should come out and explain his decision why he chose to bat first when it was clear the weather was going to aid the bowlers.

What a shambles.
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

In the past Derbyshire were at least competitive.Championship wins are now as rare as hens' teeth and despite three good performances in the 20-20 slog, they've reverted to type and slumped to four defeats. It's the same at the start of every season. They report they've signed this and that, have a great coach and nursery that will provide an optimistic positive season but it never does and so it goes on season after season of struggle. How about the powers that be seek some investment an attract some better players? Maybe it would stop all the good players moving on to other counties that pay more and which prevent us building a winning side.

Rant over.

I can sort of understand us struggling against the bigger counties where you?re up against clubs with test match and hundred finances to compete against but we should be competitive with your Leicestershire?s and northants type clubs.

Neither of which have won a match in the CC either. Quite how they are both above Gloucestershire who have won one means the bonus point system wants looking at as there should be more bias to actually winning games!
