Pep knows his onions....but let's be fair you couldn't recognise a fruit and veg stall if it was in your back garden!

I?ll simplify it for you. Cook is a better manager than Southgate. The FAs safe pair of hands.

For me i'm ok with Grealish not making it as i'm not sure he's been that great this season....3 goals and 1 assist all season in that City side isnt a great return and there is a lot of competition for that sort of position in the team now.
I have no issue with Southgate selecting 'fresh exiting talent' as you call them, I would rather use the term "young untried" hopefuls? But they should not have been thrown together at the last minute as in this case. I have just Just watched tonight's game and the team look total disjointed like they have never played together, which to be honest most of them haven't. After tonight's performance I don't hold too much hope for England's chances. I just hope they prove me wrong!

Tonight has very little bearing on things starting next week other than giving folk a chance to have a whine as we were crap.

The way to break down deep sitting sides is tempo.
Sharp inter-passing and movement.
Witnessed as much on numerous occasions in the National League last season.
It's all about getting through the group, then the competition will open out when sides actually play to win...

Eze looks a great player, very direct, as does Gordon, guehi had a steady game, and they played the ball well, we came up against these tactics ourselves many times over the last 6yrs, and we didn't always break them down either, the result was irrelevant as was the game, the real thing starts next Sunday ( for us) and then we'll have a real idea how things are gunna go...
Top tip jude Bellingham player of the tournament. 👍
