The goal in injury time was likely to happen because Scotland were throwing everything at trying to win the game, but they fell short once more, oh well, England will have to help cheer them up by winning on Tuesday 😁😁😁.

It was dire. Never looked like scoring, although a decent penalty shout which should have won them the game.

Clarke's interview cringe.

Blaming the ref and even his nationality.

Should look at himself and his team which delivered the lowest attempts on goal in the entire competition.

Makes Southgate's tactics look like Keegan's...

12 hours later and we can look at it again objectively, I think the Hungarian lad definitely got a touch on the ball

Thought he wasn?t a bad referee. Arguable penalty but Armstrong played for it instead of playing the ball and was clearly pulling the defenders shirt. Having said that I suspect a more fancied team would have got the penalty.

Clarke needs shot setting his team up like that when they needed a win.

I think the thing with the pen was not so much that it wasnt given but it seemed to be glossed over very quickly. No real obvious checking of it by VAR. I'm fully expecting a UEFA statement about it with a hastily concocted image of the scotland forward being offside initially so they didnt check it.

Armstrong looked very close to being offside from the through ball. It could be that the VAR did start to look at the incident but realised straight away he was offside so anything else irrelevant.

Scotland were not very good at all throughout the tournament and deserve the early flight home.

Yep but for sake of transparency and just keeping folk informed they should have said if this was the case. With the automated offside stuff they are using the decision for offside if pretty much instant, they could have popped up that graphic to show he was offside and then it didnt matter what happened after. As it stands with nothing shown, they didnt even have the graphic up to say potential penalty check, everyone is in the dark as to why it all played out like it did. They did put up the potential penalty review graphic when the Hungary lad ended up out cold however which makes it even stranger nothing was shown for the Scotland one.

You play with what you've got, not what you'd like to have. The manager is no dumpling but I think he got all the big calls wrong. It's bad enough being an England fan, but thank you lord I was born the right side of the wall.

Angry, aggressive fans? The rest of it I'll grant you but not angry and aggressive.

I haven't heard any trouble being reported concerning the Scottish fans, so I'm with you on this one.
