Let's just try to keep a perspective keeper wise that he's a young but very promising keeper that we're happy we have. He's made an honest attempt to be positive and try to clear the ball, that we later can say with hindsight could have been caught. It's not like he's gone hiding and caused an issue that way. We want players coming here to love the club, we need to give them reason to and I think we should let that one be.

Well said.

I want an explanation for why over 2 minutes of the remaining playing time disappeared. Disgraceful.

Ref decided to abandon the game due to Oldham fans not being trusted to behave rioting. They should have to face disciplinary

I thoroughly enjoyed watching that game, I thought we played some really good stuff. One of the better performances for a while.

Hated the result.

Apparently the referee didn't restart the game due to player safety concerns.

The game needs to be replayed then.

That's not acceptable. Serious questions need to be answered.

How do people still manage to get flares into football grounds? I thought/hoped we'd seen the last of those when Wrectum F'ed off

Just because some people are 50 years behind fashion it's no reason to ban em

In an offside position? I’ll be even more annoyed if so.

I'm not sure how a game that is not completed can be a result, makes no sense,it does not matter if it's 10 seconds or ten minutes

It’s null and void as far as I’m concerned. It didn’t finish.

Who's behind fashion, me or them?
Absolutely they should be banned from football grounds. Fire hazard and dangerous. And if their going to start abandoning games because they get thrown on the pitch then they need to be banned. They're fireworks!

There we go then guys. Next away game and we are one nil up we all rush onto pitch. Confront the players, keeper, throw flares and get the last few minutes abandoned.

This is the FA rules:
An abandoned match is replayed unless the competition rules or organisers determine otherwise.
No references to minutes played

That's the risk isn't it if they don't take action. Will be happening far more often.

There should be no reward for the disgraceful behaviour of their numbnut fans who ran on the pitch and threw smoke bombs. There was at least 2 minutes of actual playing time to play and a chance for us to win the game still.

Imagine being Oldham and having such little belief that you can compete with the opposition that you sit with 11 men behind the ball all game… Then your manager comes out live on TV and gives up on the title just 4 games in. I’d be fuming if I was an OAFC fan.

And as for their fans on the pitch… I’d be embarrassed if that was us. Big fine heading their way, surely.

Tough one to take for us today. Thought we struggled to break down their 11 man defence but once we scored we had complete control. Terrible decision by the ref to bring them level.

10pts from a possible 12. Onto the next one. COYB.

Don’t see how he can do that. Hopefully that’ll stand out like a sore thumb and coupled with our goalie being attacked the authorities might take action - doubt they have the bollux though
